A fine Victorian burr walnut credenza, beautifully shaped and richly decorated with inlaid marquetry detail throughout. The cabinet has a serpentine front, curved end cupboards and a pair of central cupboard doors, creating a very elegant and decorative form typical of high-quality mid to late 19th century furniture.
The front is veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut, with fine floral and scrolling marquetry panels to the doors and frieze. The shaped end cupboards are flanked by turned and carved columns, giving the piece strong architectural presence. The central double doors open to reveal a shelved interior, while each curved side cupboard also opens to provide additional storage.
This antique Victorian credenza would make an impressive statement piece for a dining room, drawing room, hallway or formal living space. It has excellent colour, decorative detail and presence, while still offering useful storage.
