A highly decorative Victorian walnut and marquetry circular breakfast table, centred by a richly figured burr walnut top with an ebonised floral marquetry medallion and an elaborate scrolling floral border.
The circular tilt top displays particularly attractive burr walnut figuring, framed by intricate marquetry decoration of flowers and scrolling foliate motifs. The top is supported on a substantial turned and faceted pedestal, raised on four boldly shaped scrolling legs terminating in castors.
A striking and practical statement piece, combining strong Victorian proportions with finely detailed decorative work. The tilt-top mechanism also allows the table to be stored more conveniently when not in use.
