A well-matched set of eight George III period mahogany dining chairs, comprising six single chairs and a pair of carvers. The chairs feature elegant bowed top rails with finely pierced horizontal splat backs centred by shaped mahogany tablets, all raised on square tapering legs united by stretchers. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a striped fabric and would benefit from being re-covered, allowing the next owner to personalise the finish to suit their interior. A classic and well-proportioned Georgian design, suitable for both formal and country house dining rooms.
