Circa 1810. A quality large Regency mahogany and inlaid sofa table of desirable proportions, the top in well-figured mahogany with boxwood string inlay and rosewood crossbanding, the two D-shaped flaps supported by wood hinges, the frieze with a pair of drawers in each side, one faux and each with heraldic escutcheons cast brass knob handles and ash liners indicating it could be Scottish, resting on a pair of inlaid trestle ends, braced by a turned stretcher and rectangular stretcher, issuing downward-facing saber legs, with string inlay on all the facings, terminating on a tapering brass cup with original brass castors.
