A handsome antique George III burr walnut chest of drawers, displaying excellent colour, rich figuring and classic Georgian proportions. The chest is arranged with two short drawers above three long graduated drawers, offering practical storage while retaining a highly decorative period appearance.
The drawer fronts feature beautifully figured burr walnut veneers, with striking natural grain movement and warm golden-brown tones. The drawers are fitted with brass swan neck handles and shaped escutcheons, adding to the traditional Georgian character of the piece. The top is crossbanded with a framed border, while the chest stands on shaped bracket feet.
