The rounded rectangular top with recently added quality gold-tooled green hide writing surface above an arrangement of five drawers opposing a writing slide, the whole raised on cabriole legs, carved to the knees with foliate motifs in shallow relief and terminating in moulded pad feet, stamped maker's mark to top left drawer WHYTOCK & REID/ EDINBURGH.
