victorian mahogany kneehole writing desk

Seven drawer Victorian mahogany kneehole writing desk with a central long drawer above the kneehole, flanked on either side by three graduated drawers. The main writing surface has a central writing slope with leather inset. The desk rests on four turned legs with original castors.

Overall the desk is in good condition with a rich deep red patina and would look superb in any home office or study. Specifically, there is an ink stain to the right desk surface, some slight shrinkage to the sides and there have been some minor restorations. This does not detract and any knocks and marks are those typical and commensurate with the age and use of the piece.
