This is a beautiful early to mid Victorian gothic style carved golden oak hall chair with shield back and elegant cabriole legs. It is very tactile and the workmanship on this piece is exquisite.

CONDITIONThe chair is sturdy and has had a repair to one of the back legs at some time in its life. This chair was obviously well loved looking at the meticulous care and detail taken to repair that leg which is shown in the last photo. This repair doesn't detract from the piece at all and just adds to its charm and history.
