Circa 1870, Northern European set of 8 (6 + 2 carvers) carved walnut dining chairs. The heart-shaped upholstered backs are surmounted by a foliate carved, pierced cresting and with geometric shaped supports. The sprung seats are above bow-front seat rails and fluted cabriole supports. The carvers have part upholstered arms, and the floral tapestry covering (possibly original) is in good condition. Seat height is 47 cm.
