This very attractive armchair is a useful size, as it is not too big but still very comfortable. It has a solid frame with a good weight and is of good quality, dating from around 1880. It has scrolled arms which are slightly set back and a sprung edge. The side view of the chair shows an interesting shape to the arm. It has been stuffed throughout with horse hair and is fully sprung. Although the fabric is quite old you could still use the chair as it is or perhaps with a throw, although this chair would look wonderful in a new modern fabric. It is piped to finish. There are beautiful turned legs to the front and splayed legs to the back, one of the front castors is broken although can still be used. The show wood is in lovely condition.This fabulous armchair would grace any room!If you would like us to recover this armchair we would be happy to send fabric samples out in the post.
