The chair is heavy and made from Mahogany. It is an ideal fireside or occasional chair as it is neat with comfortable proportions. It is stuffed with original horse hair and is sprung. It has a buttoned back and attractive turned legs. It doesn't have any castors fitted but at some stage did, and we would be happy to fit a set of solid brass castors for you. All the show wood is in good condition, and it has been upholstered in a green/grey velvet type fabric. This is old and the chair would now benefit from being reupholstered. We can reupholster this chair for you. We would be happy to send fabric samples out in the post. We have an extensive range of good quality beautiful fabrics. Our work is carried out to a high standard and all work is done traditionally, please see the gallery on our home page. The approximate dimensions, in cm are: w 63, h 94 and d 74.
