Circa 1850. An early Victorian provincial rustic carved oak hall chair, with shaped solid carved oak back with foliate carving on the top and sides with a carved bird in the center, with elegant extended seat scrolls to the sides, the solid seat with a simple moulded fore-edge, the seat rail carved with foliate carving to the front, the front legs with carving on the top with tapering barley sugar finishing on an extended turned toe.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
