Circa 1890. A stylish carved oak side table designed by ‘Sir Robert Lorimer’ and executed by’ Scott Morton’ of Edinburgh. The solid oak top with a simple moulded fore-edge with a shaped and profusely carved frieze with a simple beading beneath, with square back legs, the legs with a classic ‘Lorimer’ slow twist leg which he used regularly, braced by stout and ribbed faced stretchers terminating on a block foot. There is a trade label for ‘Scott Morton’ to the underside.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
