A mid Victorian walnut writing table, the rectangular top with rounded corners, the broad cross-branding, with an insert tooled and gilded burgundy leather top, the writing table rests on for elegant turned and carved legs braced by an elegant fluted and carve stretcher, with finials inside the legs on each end, resting o an elaborate carved and shaped pair of trestle ends with flower heads on the outside, finishing on neat cabriole legs with flower heads on the top, the writing desk table is polished on all sides making it free-standing.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
