maple french tub chair, fine example

A most impressive French tub chair in a not so common wood. This Maple chair has some lovely features, the well detailed herringbone inlay all around the back rail and the inlaids down the legs are just the start. It also boasts the facing mounts which are well detailed and the legs terminate in further brass mounts. Having come directly from a 'Maison de Maitre' in France this chair was sitting on a landing as has had almost not use it seems, if any.
The seat is clean and very tidy as is everything else, a great chair, most unusual and keenly priced too.
A chair that could be at home in a bedroom, a study, a sitting room or wherever a great looking, useable chair is needed.
