Circa 1970s, mahogany framed neat Orkney chair. The mahogany frame is unusual, as most Orkney chairs are made of oak or pine, and all feature the characteristic hand woven back. It has a rattan weave seat and beneath is the makers label of ‘W.A. Stevenson, Stove, Quoyloo, Storness’. It is in excellent condition.
