grotto style walnut bark occasional table

Circa 1900, Grotto style circular walnut occasional table, retaining its original colour. The fore-edge and apron are made from stained slices of bark (cork) and continues around all sides. Beneath this is a central column and from this are 3 angel legs which are turned and united by turned cross stretchers. The centre and joins above the stretchers are also covered in bark.
