Circa 1725. George I walnut and oak framed high back chair. The shaped cresting rail with a wonderful curved and pierced splat, elegant pattern on the top, pierced flower in the center and a heart on the base. The curvaceous uprights follow the form of the splat, recent reupholster with a silk embroidered fabric, with simple seat rails, the back legs are slightly out swept with a chamfering on the facings, the elegant cabriole front legs with simple blocks finishing on a pad foot, the legs are braced by stylish turned ring turned stretchers.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
