Circa 1790, Dutch marble top burr elm commode or chest. The demi-lune top with variegated grey marble with stepped edges over three long drawers with circular cast brass handles with neoclassical head decoration. The drawers in burr elm with tulipwood and boxwood inlay above a fluted skirt, flanked by bow-fronted doors opening to shelved cupboards. All supported on tapering square, fluted supports on brass toes.
