Circa 1860, rare Victorian coromandel ladies writing desk. With a raised back shelf with cast brass gallery on ebonised, turned supports. The shaped writing surface with original, brown tooled leather with coromandel cross banding and brass beaded edges. This is over 2 mahogany-lined frieze drawers with brass beading and large foliate escutcheons to the front. The back with similar faux drawers and the shaped sides with further brass mouldings. All supported on fluted, turned, tapering legs with brass mounts, over brass caps and castors.
