This is an antique campaign cellarette. An English, mahogany and brass colonial storage box, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850. 

• Impressive proportion and of a quality finish and appearance
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks show fine grain interest and warm russet hues
• Brass caps adorn each corner for lasting strength

• Shallow lid opens to reveal a generous, pleasingly clean interior
• The lid opening upon a pair of internal brass hinges
• Dressed with an inset brass-lined lock — in working order, key present
• Striking, stout cast brass handles to each side, articulating for ease of use
• Raised upon a quartet of turned bun feet
