A really lovely and totally right little wine table in mahogany. The top 26cm dia and standing 50cm tall.
The top is dished and if you look at the underside is totally original, The stem beautifully turned and the three legs decorated with little carved scrolls. At the very bottom is an unusual flattened finial. I have seen little tables like this before, and I think they were probably all made by the same workshop, probably in Yorkshire in about 1760. This one has been in the collection of a London dentist for many years.
