This antique chair has a solid frame and dates from the late 1800s and is very comfortable with a lovely deep seat. It has been stuffed with horse hair and is sprung throughout. It has set back arms and the back is slightly scrolled. The front legs are beautifully turned and all legs retain their solid original brass castor fittings with the black porcelein castors. There has been some old repair to the back castor fittings and this could be redone if you wanted. The fabric on the chair is old and not so clean anymore, although it is not worn at all; it would however, look wonderful in a new modern fabric. This elegant looking Victorian chair is of good proportions and would suite many types of different rooms.If you would like us to recover this armchair we would be happy to send fabric samples out in the post.
