A superb quality French centre table of refined Louis XVI taste, beautifully executed in rich burr walnut and extensively decorated with intricate marquetry. The shaped top is centred by an elegant urn overflowing with flowers, framed within a finely detailed arrangement of scrolling foliage, ribbonwork and floral inlays, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The frieze continues the decorative theme with scrolling marquetry panels, further enhanced by crisp ormolu mounts and mouldings. The table is raised on slender, fluted legs with gilt bronze collars, united by a shaped stretcher centred with an ornate ormolu finial, adding both strength and decorative appeal. A highly decorative and versatile piece, ideal as a centre table or statement feature in a refined interior.
