Antique Longcase Clock Restored.-
By John Fisher, watch & clock maker, Church street. Bilston near Wolverhampton. Circa 1840 Lovely antique longcase Fully restored clock eight day longcase clock which strikes each hour on a bell . The lovely well made case made mainly of oak with rosewood and fruitwood inlay panels makes this a stunning clock .The swan neck hood with nice turned columns match the trunk . The clock standing 88.5 inches high with the widest part is the top of the swan neck width of 25 inches the trunk width 17.5 inches. The 8 day movement has had a full strip down cleaned and oiled and new gut lines the date and rolling moon feature in good working order the case been restored to bring it back to its former glory. All is in good working order and ready to display in the home and requires no further restoration the white painted arch dial has been touched up as the original paint was in good condition together nice period hands. Complete with 2 weights brass pendulum and winding crank key. All in all a lovely period Longcase clock which would grace any home. Please study the photos as these form part of the description.
