Circa 1790. A late George III oak cased Grandfather clock ‘Alex Dickie of Edinburgh’.(Alexander Richie active from 1762-1808), the classic horned top, centered by a cast bell with a spire above it, the front with an arched door with pierced fretwork and sound boards each side, silvered dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, pierced hands a date calendar, The door of the hood is flanked by a pair of circular columns, the base with a full-length arched door, the base with a simple with moulding, resting on an enclosed plinth.
