ANTIQUE MOON DIAL 8 DAY Price £2250.00-Ex works. GRANDFATHER/LONGCASE CLOCK Georgian circa 1800 refurbished longcase grandfather clock, eight day duration which strikes each hour on a cast bell . A fine quality flame mahogany. The high quality case of typical late 18th century Lancashire style, having the finest flame mahogany veneers and boxwood fan inlays. The boxed swan-neck pediment hood with surmounted with three original wooden finials, gilt decorated panels The case made of mahogany with the shaped trunk door having beautiful figured flame mahogany locking door with key. The trunk with mahogany column corners the hood with nice turned fluted x4 columns is a nice feature and swan neck topped off with x3 mahogany finials The base plinth with nice figured mahogany this clock has lovley inlaid features it’s a well made heavy clock very commanding and great quality .The clock standing 92 .5 inches high including the final which can be removed with a width of 25 at the widest part with the trunk width being 19inches wide, The movement has recently had a strip down a clean and oiled with new gut lines, the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory and ready to display in the home ,and requires no further restoration . The white arch rolling moon painted dial is in excellent refurbished condition, with rare center calendar is a great feature ,with painted Harrison Ormskirk painted on the dial, (Richard Harrison) together fitted with nice period hands. Complete with 2 weights brass pendulum and winding crank key. All in all a lovely period Longcase clock which would grace any home. You can view this clock and others by prior arrangement.
