Konstantin Ivanovich Rudakov. Graphic arts. Erotic pastel. In a variety show. Depicts a kind of walk of a prim gentleman and a half-naked actress in the foyer of an erotic theatre. The precise contours of the drawing grotesquely reveal the dancer’s massive legs and hips, the silhouette of her figure in a bathing suit with tails, an almost open chest and a pretty face under a colorful hat. This whole paradoxical symbiosis of personalities could only happen in the elusive interior of the variety show’s offices, where the artist hints at the doorway with curtains, the opposite wall, the stove and the shadow of the gatekeeper. Etching "Portrait of the Artist Robert Van Voerst" mounted in a frame under glass, 1800.Original author: Anthonis van Dyck (1599 Antwerp - 1641 London), whose artistic heyday came in the first half of the 17th century, art critics are often called the most talented and beloved student of Rubens. Fame came to him after a series of picturesque ceremonial portraits, thanks to which he was appointed court painter and won the patronage of the English king Charles I. Van Dyck wrote more than nine hundred works. And when he and his teacher decided to try to replicate these works and transferred them to metal, unprecedented popularity came to the master. Anthony van Dijk achieved perfection in the creation of engravings. He created his etchings on sheets of copper. The plate was covered with a special composition, and then a drawing was scratched on it with special tools. This made it possible to obtain prints of excellent quality - the ink applied to the finished etching was retained only in the etched depressions and was transferred to the paper during printing. Sketch for the propaganda poster of the 1920s "150 Art. Of the Criminal Code punishes 3 years in prison for deliberately infecting another person with a venereal disease. " Written by Tamara Kofengauz. Was not approved, and did not go to print. Ink, watercolor on paper, unframed size: 13.5x11 cm, sketch framed in double mat. Comes from the artist`s family. A rather rare example of the propaganda work of Tamara Kafengauz, despite all the revolutionary fervor, did not succeed in this direction, and subsequently, painted avant-garde fantasies, landscapes and illustrations for literary works. Kafenhauz Tamara Aleksandrovna (1883-1969), studied at VKHUTEIN with Favorsky, an artist little known in Soviet times, but very popular now, especially after a personal exhibition that took place in the Sergei Andriyaka Museum of Watercolors in 2017.
