Circa 1815, very stylish Regency mahogany hall chair with a double upright back, the top section in the form of a carved shell. Beneath this on the second section there is an unusual motif in the centre. The solid mahogany seat has an unusual shape and carvings all around, sitting upon a crossbanded mahogany apron with a beading below. The legs at the front are reeded and sabre. The legs at the back are sabre and chamfered. Excellent style and top quality.
