Saygaki: Bizen kuni Osafune ju Sukemitsu, Ubu chushin Mumei nari.
Jidai Bunmei goro.
Nagasa 1shaku 8sun 3bu amari ari kore.
Showa 58sai Inoshishi Yayoi shirusu kore, Hon-ami Nishu.(Kao)
The blade was polished.
Blade length : cm or 21.94 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.50 cm or 0.98 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.65 cm or 0.64 inches.
Kasane : 0.55 cm or 0.55 inches.
Era : Middle Muromachi period. about Bunmei era.(about 1469.)
Shape : The blade is regular sized with deep sori and Bo-Hi is engraved
both sides of the blade the shape is nice looking sword.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach.
The surface is rather lose hada appear.
Hamon : Koniedeki Choji midare hamon and in Ha, many ashi and Yo appear.
Special feature : NBTHK says this blade is Fujishima Tomoshige
and Nissyu sensei said this blade is Sukemitsu.
Both kantei are different expt the age.
I think the blade looks like Bizen school.
Anyway the sword has passed more than 540 years.
Back ground: At Bunmei era Muromachi period 1467, O-nin no ran(battle)
broke out between Hosokawa Katumoto who carried 24 east army
country 160,000 soldiers of Hosokawa Katsumoto's and Yamana
Mochitoyo carried 20 west army countries 110,000 soldiers at Kyoto area.
All of Japan involved this severe battle without stop so many years.
Included is custom made Koshirae.
