vintage sandizell dresden porcelain shepherd figurine 11.5" - rare find

Exquisite, large-scale vintage porcelain figurine. Expertly crafted in Bavaria by Sandizell (Höffner & Co.) during the 1950s to 1960s, this highly expressive piece depicts a rustic, bearded old shepherd resting peacefully alongside his newborn lamb. The figure is a brilliant hybrid of styles, merging the delicate hand-painted realism of the traditional German Dresden workshops with the highly dramatic, textured character sculpts of Italian Capodimonte porcelain. The shepherd features a beautifully molded green slouch hat, an intricately detailed faux-fur vest, woven strapped sandals, and a hand-painted pipe nestled in his mouth.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. This piece is completely pristine with NO chips, NO cracks, NO hairline fractures, and NO past restoration work. Highly fragile areas like the lamb's ears, the shepherd's fingers, and his pipe are 100% intact. DIMENSIONS: - Height: 11.5 inches (approx. 29.2 cm) - Stately showcase size, larger than typical 10" variations. BASE HALLMARKS & MARKS: The underside features a complete set of authentic historical stamps: 1. The classic Capodimonte-style blue "Crown over N" mark. 2. The elegant script "Dresden" factory identifier. 3. The bold blue "Made in Western Germany" post-WWII stamp. 4.
