pair of gilt mounted marble cassolettes

Circa 1870. A quality pair of French marble and gilded brass Cassolettes. The dome tops crowned with a stylish finial with sun burst beneath, the tops are removable and reversible with a gilded candle holder on the inside. The oval body held in place by three stylish uprights with ram heads, a wonderful engraved collar with swags between each of the uprights. Tapering down to finial and resting on three animal feet sitting on a circular marble base with beading on the edge and cast flower in the center.

Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
