Circa 1900, large staved teak ships water butt. The butt of generous proportions tapers outward from the top to prevent it from tipping over, and there are two lifting handles which are embedded behind the strapping on both sides. Where the straps of steel overlap there are double rivets to hold them in place. It could be used for holding logs, flowers or plants.
