ANTIQUE MOON DIAL 8 DAY GRANDFATHER/LONGCASE CLOCK Georgian circa 1790, refurbished longcase grandfather clock, eight day duration which strikes each hour on a bell . The case made of mahogany with the shaped trunk door having locking door with key. The trunk with fluted columns corners the hood with nice turned fluted columns and swan neck topped off with a nice brass finial. The base plinth with nice brick feature as on some clocks there are no back feet in Oder for the clock to stand against the wall better. The clock standing 92.00 inches high including the final which can be removed with a width of 23inches at the widest part with the trunk width being 15.00inches wide, The movement has recently had a clean and oiled with new gut lines, the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory and ready to display in the home ,and requires no further restoration . The white arch painted dial is in excellent condition, with painted jas Galloway Belfast painted on the dial , together fitted with nice period hands. Note the moon dial no longer turns however you can turn it manually. Complete with 2 weights brass pendulum and winding crank key.
