antique longcase clock

Lovely looking Scottish Longcase clock the false plate is marked Wilson which dates it to about circa 1810, eight day duration which strikes each hour on a bell . The case made of mahogany with the trunk door having beautiful figuring The trunk with square corners and lovely turned finials typical Scottish design the hood with nice turned columns and domed carved top. The clock standing 91.00 inches high including the final which can be removed with a width of 20.00 inches at the widest part .The movement has recently had a clean and oiled with new gut lines, the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory and is in good working order and ready to display in the home ,and requires no further restoration . The fantastic white arch painted dial is in excellent condition, with Turnbull & Young of Glasgow painted on the dial they were in Buchanan street, with Britannia and the lion scene flanked by gilt gold and white design painted in the arch the spanderals depicting the empire continents together fitted with nice period hands. Complete with 2 weights pendulum and winding crank key. All in all a lovely period Longcase clock which would grace any home. You can view this clock and others by prior arrangement.
