This is a very pretty paint and gilt upholstered demi corbeille antique French bed. A very good example indeed and unusual in the fact that the original paint and gilt has worn and cracked slightly to give the bed that lovely aged look and feel but is still in good condition. The original silk upholstery is also in good condition with no rips or tears but there are some marks and dirt having built up over the years (the bed is late 19th or early 20th century). This should clean up some with a good upholstery cleaner, alternatively you could replace it with a fabric of your choice. We can do this for around £150 (excluding cost of fabric). This really is a very pretty example of this type of bed and in very good condition too.Dimensions (inches):
