Victorian brass bullseye magnifying glass on stand c1890. Convex (bullseye) glass lens securely located within a brass bezel on an articulated cross-bar. Ball joint attaching the cross bar to upright support on a circular weighted base. Cross-bar can be rotated which together with the universal ball joint enables the bullseye lens to be located in any position. Lens with bezel measures 6 cm in diameter. Height to top of stand is 18.5 cm.
This magnifier is in very good condition commensurate with age. Bullseye lens with no chips, cracks or scratches. Articulation of cross-bar and ball joint is smooth. Stand solid. Some visible losses to lacquered brass finish which shows age-related tarnish. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
