Tall French Limoges pate-sur-pate decorated porcelain vase with gilt bronze ormolu mounts c1880. The decoration is neoclassical in style with beautifully executed front and back panels using the pate-sur-pate technique on a classic celadon ground. 38.5 cm high. Signed with incised monogram to the base (unknown) and pattern number.
This vase would have originally been part of a lamp however remains a beautiful item in its own right. The vase is in good overall condition. Small glaze defects from original, very minor chip to foot and minor dints to the ormolu collar - none of which take away from the overall decorative look of the vase. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
