sheraton style mahogany tray

Circa 1890, wonderful Sheraton style mahogany and inlaid shaped tray, with a triple moulded edge. The tray is flamed mahogany and in the centre is a large shell in satinwood and tulipwood, surrounded by urns, swags and tails. There is an amazing amount of overlapping and the quality of the inlay is superb. At the sides are cast brass Rococo handles which are in keeping with the shape and style of the tray. Excellent colour and condition.
