Imperial Doucai Vase With Posy Design

Superb Imperial doucai vase with posy design, on the base a Yongzheng mark and of the period. This type of posy flower design was used in Jingdezhen for the imperial court. Doucai is a decorative technique on porcelain, in which underglaze-blue outlines are filled in with overglaze polychrome enamels. Its use originated at the Jingdezhen imperial kilns suring the Xuande period (1426-35). Please note photo colour might deviate slightly in comparison to the original artefact.
