A great late Victorian walnut piece, possibly French, comprising the superstructure from a grand sideboard or serving cabinet, with substantial reeded pilasters and support brackets with scrolled side buttresses, bearing two graduated shelves with panelled backs and monumental pediment with botanical scrolls, a scallop shell to the centre and large armorial sheaf to the top, this magnificent backboard will impress as a wall-hung set piece in any reception hall or function room, or restored to its original place over a serving table, more than justifying the admiring attention it will undoubtedly attract.O/All Width at Lower Shelf 127.5cm x O/All Depth 26.75cm (50.25" x 10.5")
