Late Victorian Doulton 2-Handled Stoneware Vase by Bessie Newbery

A large Doulton stoneware vase, decorated with stylised flowers on a mottled blue ground, with an incised maker's mark* to the underneath for the period 1882-1901, the initials BN for Bessie Newbery and the registration number 353?*I have read that the incised 'Doulton' mark was used for earthenware rather than stoneware and so I have to regard this piece as an anomaly.
Height 18cm (7") & O/All Width at Handles c23cm (9")
Dia. at Base 10cm & Dia. at Rim 15.5cm (4" & 6")In good over all condition but with hairline cracks to the base, both inside & out (see Pics.) but not contiguous and not generally visible; so, not for the purist perhaps but an attractive and unusual example nonetheless.W-322110/274NB: When considering a purchase, please request a price for Postage & Packing.
