large charles schneider le verre francais rubaniers cameo glass bowl c1925

A very striking large Art Deco Charles Schneider "Rubaniers" Glass Bowl c1925. The bowl is of squat conical form with everted rim. Acid etched and cut cameo glass producing a very attractive abstract floral and foliate design around the body. This design (called Rubaniers) produced between 1923 and 1928. Overlay is on a pate-de-verre ground producing a subtle mottled translucent effect to the body. Overlay colour transitions from blood orange at the base to chestnut brown at the rim. The bowl measures 28 cm maximum diameter and 14.5 cm in height. Ground pontil mark to base. Etched signature "Le Verre Francais".
This bowl is in excellent condition commensurate with age. No chips, cracks or scratches. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
