This is a rare and very fine and extremely important first period Worcester teapot, rare because it is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks and yet it dates from around 1770. The patterns are Companie Des Indes with Chinese floral sprays and gilt surrounds on each side of the teapot. The teapot is unmarked and the handle is very much a first period Worcester feature.
