ON HOLD This is a very fine first period Dr Wall pear shape sparrow beak cream jug with the fancy bird pattern garden scenes along with insect patterns with gilt surrounds along with gilt rims to the top, base, and handle, all carefully done by the renowned artist James Giles in his London studios where he beautifully decorated pieces of Worcester during his time as an artist.
The jug is dated around 1770, 1780, and with all it's use over the past 240 - 250 years, it is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
