Circa 1860, circular clock with a carved drop dial beneath it, by Andrew Barrie of Edinburgh. The top has a large oak shaped bezel with a brass bezel inside and behind this is a face with unusual Gothic revival lettering, Roman numerals and with the makers details ‘Andrew Barrie, Edinburgh’. There are 2 small hatches to the side to access the movement, and the clock runs on a single train fusee movement with a drop dial to the bottom. There is a panel at the bottom with a Heraldic shield in the centre surrounded by a stylish decoration, carved acorns to the sides, and a domed bottom.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
