Overview:
This is a fine Chinese Meiping shaped porcelain vase I’m releasing from my private collection - an excellent example. The vase dates from the 1800s and is a finely painted Chinese meiping shaped vase. The vase is of an exaggerated meiping form with a short funnel shaped top. The body of the vase is painted in underglaze blue with prunus, fir and bamboo and overpainted in green and red with gilded highlights. It has an unglazed foot rim and is unmarked. There is a growing interest in Chinese artifacts resulting in rising prices, making the vase an excellent long-term financial investment.
Age: c1800s
Size: 15cm high x 10.5cm wide
Condition: Good apart from one circular crack running round one section of the body
