Antique Antique French Sèvres Porcelain Ormolu Gilt Bronze Urn Vase Potpourri Cobalt

Stunning French Sevres Soft Paste Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Table or Mantle Urn of traditional form and of outstanding quality, and good size proportions, raised on a plain square stepped base with canted corners.

The twin handles exquisitely modelled as Satyrs, below ornate handles. The central front reserve depicting a couple of children fishing beside a lake within a lavish raised gilt surround, back view with a French Farmhouse beside a Lake on a rich cobalt blue ground. The firm fitting cover with an Acorn finial and similar hand paintings.

Second quarter of the Nineteenth Century.

Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses to porcelain, bronze mounts have been professionally re-gold plated.

Height: (entire as shown on image one an impressive) 12.75" (32.5cm). Width: (at widest) 6.25" (16cm). Depth: (at base) 3.5” (9cm). Width: (at base) 3.5" (9cm).
