A very large pewter lidded flagon which apart from a slightly flattened thumb piece is in excellent condition, this would have been either for serving ale but more probably it was a cider jug, it has a capacity of six pints(three litres) Sizes: 9”(23cms) high, 8”(20cms) diameter. Date circa 1850.
