mahogany grandmother clock

Circa 1920, mahogany Grandmother clock, with a classic silver plate etched face with the retailers name ‘Edward Glasgow’, and black Roman numerals. The hands are steel and open fretwork and there is elaborate etching to the inner dial also. The hood has a round head, canted corners with applied carvings, and open fretwork with fabric behind on the side. There is a full length mahogany door with an arched top, below this is a moulding and a panelled lower section. The clock stands on squat bracket feet at the front and a plinth on the side. Serviced and working.
